Your Yoga Practice is a Stand for Love

Mar 20, 2025

I’m sitting at my desk, procrastinating. I know I need to step onto my mat, but the resistance is real today—almost palpable.

I’m sore. I’m tired. I don’t want to.

But I also know I will.

Because saying yes to my practice today means saying yes to a better day. A day where I have more energy for myself and others. A day where I make better decisions. A day where I love my life fiercely.

You might think your yoga practice only matters to you. Most days, it probably feels that way. And sometimes, it may even seem selfish to carve out time for it when the world is demanding your attention—pulling you in a hundred different directions.

But your practice does matter.

Because when you step on your mat, slow down your breath, and take even a small moment to tune into yourself, you are making a stand for love.

Sounds corny, right? It’s anything but.

To be in the feeling and essence of love is to be in your highest truth. Moving through your practice is an act of self-love—one that allows you to show up as your best self in every situation that follows.

And in a world full of division, fear, and chaos, choosing to practice is one of the most powerful things you can do.

Have you ever considered that our society keeps us busy and distracted—perhaps to shift our focus away from our own power?

Because as you deepen your yoga practice, you begin to understand yourself. You build confidence in areas you never thought possible. You become a force of true love in the world.

And there is nothing more powerful than someone who moves through life this way.

So, clear out the distractions. Let go of the excuses. Silence the “I’m not enough” thoughts.

Roll out your mat. Tune into you.

I promise—it makes a difference. To all of us.

Big Hugs,
Tori G.
